Extinguishing the flame of your candle after each burn with a candle snuffer keeps your candle clean and helps it continue to burn evenly from start to finish. This allows candles to continue to fill a space with fragrance longer.

Simply lower the snuffer over the flame (do not dip it in the melted wax) and hold it for a few seconds over the flame to extinguish it.
